I thought that I would give a little update of my children and what has been going on in our house lately. We are trying to get Makenna potty-trained, what a challenge!! She is great about not going potty in her pull-up, she waits until we put a diaper on her and then away she goes... She will sit on the potty, but doesn't do anything. Cole gets very upset when we take Makenna into the bathroom, he thinks he is missing out on something fun like bath time. Makenna is also in a big girl bed, we did keep her in a crib until she started to climb out, only she was falling out because she suddenly became afraid of the dark. We fixed that with a night light and now that she is in a bed, she is doing better. The bad thing now is that she wakes up earlier and comes and gets us up, today it was 6:15am. Ahh, the good ol' days before children when we could sleep in as late as we wanted to, I don't remember the last time that I slept in until 8:30am...
Cole has also taken to climbing the last couple of weeks. It started with climbing on the couches, then the entertainment center, and then the table and chairs. I think I must put him back on the floor from the table and chairs at least 30 times a day. What a climber. I do have to say that boys are far more busy than girls. He is a cutie though, and he has the best little personality even if he keeps me hopping all day long.
As for me, I am trying to do the whole New Years resolution still of getting in better shape. I still have about five pounds that I can't get rid of from Cole (pathetic, I know, he is 16 months old, I don't think that I can use the excuse that I just had a baby anymore.) I am hoping that I can slim down a little bit before summer. My goal is to lose 10 pounds, so we will see what happens. Adam keeps me motivated by taking care of the kids at night so that I can go and exercise. Makenna also likes to say "Mom exercise" when I get my shoes on, so she is a motivator herself to her mom.

Easy Job
As Marianne previously mentioned, I work at Bach Homes as their Purchasing Agent. It is very busy right now with the market being very weak. When we were building a lot, it was really just riding a wave, and trying to keep on top of everything. Now my days are filled with bidding new vendors who want our business, updating cost breakdown reports to make sure we are still making money on our houses, reviewing options in order to generate more revenue, updating house plans to initiate cost reductions through value engineering, and a lot of other stuff that is very boring. A lot of people ask me how I feel about my position, and how safe I think it is. I actually feel very confident in my position at Bach, (famous last words of a fool, right?), primarily because they will always need a purchasing agent, and who better than your's truly, right? I spend a lot of late nights at the office to keep up on all the tasks that get thrown my way due to our minimized staff, and it still seems like I am just barely keeping my head above water. The stress involved with trying to keep our costs down in this tough market is a lot more than I thought I would face, and I wake up at nights a lot trying to think of ways we can reduce them even more.
When I am finally done, I come home to a great dinner that Marianne has made, and a few hours with the kids. As much as I love Makenna and Cole, two hours sometimes seems like 119 minutes too long. Marianne never makes it past 8:00 am before she is completely ready for the day, which is more than I can say for other wives I know... She makes sure the house stays clean (as clean as possible with two kids), makes dinner, always makes sure I have clean clothes to wear the next day, exercises, and makes sure the kids are taken care of (doubly tough since they are both in diapers...) On top of that, she makes sure the finances are in order, and pays the bills every month. Oh yeah, and she always makes sure we've got a pitcher of orange juice in the fridge.
I've got the easy job.

First blog....

Here is our first posting. We have had quite a few people telling us to start blogging, so here you go!! Hopefully, this will be a great way to keep up with people that we don't talk to as much as we would like as well as post cute pictures of our family.
Things are going well for the Pace family. Adam is still working at Bach Homes as the purchasing agent and continues to enjoy his position and all the variation he gets from day to day. I am lucky enough to stay at home with our two beautiful children. Makenna will be three in April and Cole is 16 months old. They definitely keep me busy during the day, sometimes too busy, but I love being able to stay at home with them. They are a lot of fun and we enjoy everyday with them and all the fun things that they do.
We just moved into our new home in Riverton this past summer and love our new house. We are in a quiet neighborhood with lots of kids and we love it here.
